Iron

Iron is a vital trace element. Iron deficiency manifests itself, for example, in lethargy, lack of motivation, and exhaustion. Iron is found in both animal and plant foods, but the iron contained in plants (z.BLegumes) are less well absorbed by the body because absorption is inhibited by the phytic acid in plants. Therefore, vegans and vegetarians are often affected by an inadequate supply of this trace element. Vitamin C and other bioactive substances ensure that iron absorption in the intestines is supported.
