transparency

*What the hell is bioavailability? Bioavailability describes what percentage of a nutrient or active ingredient actually reaches the organism and can have an effect there.

We are inspired by nature - 100% natural and free of chemicals. Humans are, so to speak, a reflection of nature - because our bodies are also an ecosystem consisting of a symbiosis of trillions of small microorganisms. We want to combine the best systems and the most valuable complexes of nature in one capsule and transfer them to your body's ecosystem. Our ingredients are 100% natural, free of chemicals and unnecessary fillers.

The 3 Vegan Support Superstars:

  1. Vitamin B12 - Vitamin B12 is stored primarily in the liver and is involved in the production of red blood cells. Energy metabolism, nerve protection and the production of neurotransmitters and DNA also require a sufficient supply of vitamin B12. A deficiency manifests itself in psychological problems, chronic exhaustion and lack of energy. It should be noted that an imbalance in the gastrointestinal tract can lead to the absorption of the vitamin being hindered. This is why a healthy intestine is particularly important. In addition, vitamin B12 is found in mainly animal foods. Vegans and vegetarians should therefore pay particular attention to their supply (a vitamin B12 supplement is strongly recommended by vegan organizations).

  1. Iron - Iron is a vital trace element that is essential for oxygen transport in the blood, for cell formation and for the functioning of the immune system. Iron deficiency manifests itself in lethargy, lack of motivation and exhaustion, for example. Iron is found in animal and plant foods, but the iron contained in plants (e.g. pulses) is less easily absorbed by the body because absorption is inhibited by the phytic acid in plants. This is why vegans and vegetarians are often affected by an inadequate supply of the trace element. Vitamin C and other bioactive substances ensure that iron absorption in the intestine is supported.

  2. Calcium - Calcium is known for supporting bone density. It is also needed by your body so that your heart, muscles and nerves can function properly. The body needs vitamin D to absorb calcium, so it is advisable to make sure you consume sufficient amounts of both. Did you know that the body cannot produce calcium itself? Therefore, the mineral must be obtained through diet. Dairy products such as cheese, milk and yogurt, but also fish and various vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage are rich in calcium. Especially if you are vegan or lactose intolerant, it makes sense to supplement your diet with additional calcium.

A little nutrition guide for you:

Simply leave out animal products? It's not quite that simple, because in order to absorb all the important nutrients and prevent deficiencies, your vegan menu should actually be larger rather than smaller. Here is a small guide to a healthy, vegan diet:

1) A good basis

In any case, remember to always drink enough fluids, preferably water, tea or other low-calorie drinks! Drinking enough is important for any diet; in a vegan diet, it particularly supports the transport of the many fibers through the digestive tract and thus prevents constipation or bloating. Since vegans avoid dairy products, you can also ensure an adequate calcium supply by drinking plant-based drinks enriched with calcium.

→ Drink at least 1.5 liters every day.

2) Colorful base

The basis of your solid food is of course vegetables and fruit. They provide you with important vitamins, such as vitamin C. A rule of thumb is: the more colorful, the better - because a variety of vegetables and fruits ensures that a good mix of different nutrients reaches your body and prevents deficiencies caused by a one-sided diet. Our tip: pickled vegetables contain many useful bacteria and antioxidants. Hardly any vitamins are lost through the fermentation process and the vegetables are even easier to digest.

→ At every meal, about half of your plate should be filled with vegetables and fruit.

3) Full & energetic

Whole grains such as brown rice, oatmeal or whole grain bread provide valuable fiber as well as B vitamins, iron and zinc, among other things. Potatoes and whole grain pasta are also suitable side dishes to fill you up, although you have to make sure that the latter is egg-free. If you want to be on the safe side, you can simply make your own bread and pasta, so you know exactly what the ingredients are and how fresh they are made!

→ The portion on your plate should consist of about a quarter of a (whole grain) filling side dish.

4) Protein suppliers

Chickpeas, lentils and other legumes are good sources of protein for your body. Soy products are particularly good because they are an excellent source of protein and calcium. Kernels, nuts and seeds - for example pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, peanuts and walnuts - also contain a lot of protein.

→ Another quarter of your plate should be protein sources.

5) In moderation

When it comes to fats in particular, quality is more important than quantity. Vegetable oils, preferably cold-pressed oils, such as olive oil, are excellent as they are rich in unsaturated fatty acids that can counteract inflammation. Linseed oil is particularly rich in healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Avocados not only contain a lot of monounsaturated fatty acids, which have a positive effect on cholesterol levels, but also score highly with important vitamins and minerals. Walnuts and linseed are also good sources of good fat.

→ Include about 4 tablespoons of healthy fat in your daily diet.

If you eat a predominantly plant-based diet, you should make sure you get enough vitamins and minerals. Food supplements are therefore a useful way to support your body!
